Chapter 30

The Big Picture
Chapter 30 Summary
Room 27 November 14,2008
La Casas was a good priest. Some priests were cruel, while some conquistadors were friendly. The Spanish, in my opinion, were the second most conquering country in the 1500-1600. They had so many colonies from Mexico to South America. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella were trying (real hard) to convert Jews and Muslims to Christianity. The Protestants were “ kicked out” of Spain. The Inquisition was a league of catholic trials. If you were converted, but don’t believe, you’d be sent to another country and roasted on a wooden stake. Sounds like Spanish rotisserie. The Inquisition spreaded across Peru and Mexico. The Inquisition ended in 1834.
