Chapter 26

Looking for Cibola with Coronado
26
By: Kate Brookner

Coronado, Spaniards, and Indians went to go find Cibola. Cibola was a city with lots of riches. Coronado and his people did not find Cibola. They found the Grand Canyon. Coronado was nice to the Indians at first. He did not make the Indians carry heavy loads on their backs. The mules did that part. Later on Coronado treated the Indians badly. He just left the Indians while he and the Spaniards went home.
